One of the staples in any successful business is listening to the people that they serve. Their feedback is crucial in helping a business make adjustments where they need to be made. The positive feedback also allows to show and confirm what’s working well.
Recently, we’ve instituted a software that allows our current client base to share their feedback with us, on both the tenant’s and property owners side. It’s a nice way for us to not only get our positive feedback in review format for potential customers to read, it certainly gives our staff a moral boost!
Overwhelmingly, our feedback has been extremely positive. Clients have taken the time to leave reviews and messages to us that have been extremely detailed and make a point of sharing exactly why they enjoy our services.
Undoubtedly, property management is a business that proves very difficult in getting positive feedback. This simply boils down to the nature of the business. Playing a middle man role between landlord and tenant can be difficult, as blame and frustration easily can be directed at us when we are simply conveying messages. Now, we’ve become excellent intermediaries over the years so it wasn’t a surprise to us that the vast majority of our feedback has been excellent.
With that being said, we took a look at the negative notes that were helpfully critical that offered a nice outside perspective on how we can improve what we do. Taking a step back and being able to discuss how to improve a process or procedure is a great way to stay ahead of the game. Specifically, one of these instances involved how online maintenance requests are done, which has been streamlined into a more efficient process.
In one instance, an issue was pointed out that was a true mistake on our part during a staff switch, and we were happy to compensate that property owner and things have been smooth since 🙂
