Meet Your Dedicated Team
Kevin Haag, Owner
I truly love what I do and am thankful for every day I have on this planet. My passion is making sure we continue improving ourselves each day, always encouraging my staff to err on the side of helping our property owners. I'm originally from Door County, WI, and my favorite book is “The Traveler” by John Twelve Hawks. When I have free time, you'll usually find me fishing on the water. Nothing brings me greater joy than making other people laugh. If there's one quirky thing about me, it's that I almost always wear tennis shoes, no matter how I'm dressed—though my hairstyle is probably a close second. Above all, the most important life lesson I've learned is simply not to take life too seriously.
Christian Haag, Owner
Real estate is my passion—I genuinely love working with investors, home buyers, and landlords alike. Each day, I approach life with the mindset of a beginner, always eager to learn and grow both professionally and spiritually. I grew up in Cape Coral, FL, and my favorite book is Dale Carnegie’s *How to Win Friends and Influence People.* In my free time, you'll usually find me working on my latest project car, or spending time with my kid. Acts of selfless kindness never fail to make me smile. Something quirky about me? I can't stand odd numbers and am a bit of a germaphobe. The most important lesson I've learned in life is that gratitude can truly change everything.
Donna Allan, Manager
I am originally from New Jersey and have lived in Staten Island, New York for a period of 13 years . My husband and I moved to Cape Coral FL in 2004.
I have been employed with Douglas Realty since 2006 and I'm proud to have worked with Kevin and Christian for the past 2 decades, the experience I have had with all my co workers is as close to family as one can possibly get.
I love the beach, crafting and spending weekends at the gun range. The things that make me smile include my husband, beer, sushi and a great movie.
The most important life lesson I believe in is " You'll miss the best things in life if you keep your eyes shut and mind closed"
Susan Barzo, Accounting
I have worked in the accounting department within the real estate industry for over four decades. Having lived in Cape Coral since 1980, I've witnessed firsthand the city's remarkable growth and transformation. Originally from Alexandria, VA, I'm an avid reader—James Patterson is my favorite author—and I love spending my free time reading and traveling throughout the U.S. There's so much beauty to explore right here at home without ever needing to leave the country. My grandson, Carter, never fails to bring a smile to my face. If I've learned one essential life lesson, it's that family and close girlfriends are the most important treasures one can have.
Bob Berentz, Property Inspector
I've been involved with rental property for over 30 years, both as an owner and the go-to person for repairs and upkeep. I spent five years living in Northeast Cape Coral and have been with Douglas Realty for the past three years. I now live in Alva, Florida, where I continue to enjoy the work I do. After retiring from IBM, I served as Vice President of Government Sales at LearningWare for eight years. I'm originally from Akron, Ohio, and my favorite author is Rick Warren. In my free time, I enjoy mechanical and construction projects, along with just about anything outdoors. Few things make me smile like a beautiful sunrise. One of the most valuable life lessons I’ve learned is that listening—more than talking—is the key to any strong relationship.
Maria Hernandez, Maintenance Coordinator
I have worked as a Proactive Maintenance Coordinator for the Cape Coral office properties management since 2019. I began my experience in Real Estate Industry/Property Management field as front desk receptionist for three years with Douglas Realty Property Management. I have lived in beautiful Southwest Florida for over two decades enjoying life with my family. What makes me smile every day and exuberate positivity is my new role as a grandparent. Life is a learning process. You can learn important life lessons by reading, watching videos, or through experiences, You can save time and energy by learning from other people's experiences.
Geraldine Vocaturo, Reception
I'm originally from Union, New Jersey, but have been visiting the Cape Coral and Fort Myers area since childhood. About 16 years ago, I decided to make Cape Coral my permanent home, and I've truly embraced the Southwest Florida lifestyle. With over a decade of experience in real estate, I'm proud to have spent the last four years as part of the Douglas Realty Property Management team. In my free time, you'll typically find me enjoying quality moments with family and friends. Nothing brings me greater joy than my son and my crazy dog, Ozzy. I've learned that your mindset shapes your reality—so I always strive to stay positive.
Tim Simon, Agent
At one point in the 1970’s my family had 235 rental units in Wisconsin. In 1979 I started college at University Of Wisconsin and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation I got my Wisconsin Real Estate sales license. I sold property there until I moved to Cape Coral in 1985. That is when I started selling for Douglas Realty. With almost four decades as an agent I have the experience to help you find your “place in the sun” in this paradise, Cape Coral.
Jackie Sheran-St.Croix, Agent
Southwest Florida has been home to me for over 4 decades. I graduated from the University of South Florida and have resided in Cape Coral since the early 1990’s. Real estate provides me the opportunity to work with customers finding that special place to call home or selling their existing homes with a new plan in mind. I provide exceptional customer service; professionalism and dedication before, during and after your buying or selling experience. I look forward to helping you with all your real estate needs.
Bob Koczara, Agent
I am originally from Detroit, Michigan and have been a resident of Cape Coral since 2004. I have been in management and have worked for a number of manufacturing companies the past 40 years. I have experience in real estate investing, rehabbing, buying, and selling. I am very focused on providing you with the most personal attention. I am highly motivated and strongly believe in providing my clients with reliable customer service. I feel that selling or buying a home is a process, not an event. I will work to meet your needs, and help you throughout the entire process.
Wayne Kliscz, Agent
I was born in northern Wisconsin and spent most of my time in LaCrosse as a real estate broker after serving 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. I have been inspiring people with my expertise in southwest Florida real estate for over 28 years. Some say I have the greatest local knowledge of the southwest Florida waterways as you will ever find in any Realtor in the area. I enjoy the worship band at the Cape Coral Vineyard Church where I am an active volunteer. I like good times with good people.
